5 Tips For New Marketers
Affiliate marketing, does it work?
If you are new to internet marketing then to get the most out of what I am about to explain to you, you must come to the realization that internet marking can be quite challenging, However if you use scientifically proven methods and information that work. These are all methods that even top marketers use and have to understand in order to be successful. These are not secrets they are facts that will help you get a good start in your online business and if you implement them you will see some online profits. If you want results in your quest for online profits then you must do and continue to do the following 5 steps.
1. Knowing your products and or services is by far the most important.
know the product or products and or services that you offer on your site or sites. If you do not know your products or services how can you tell others about it? If you want to make money using a product or service you need to use it or know it like the back of your hand. Keep in mind that if you use it and like it then you already believe in it and this will make it much easier convincing others that it is what they are looking for and that they will like it as well. So do not allow yourself to be lazy and or cheap, use and understand every thing you sell.
2. Keep your efforts on what works for you.
When you are first starting a new marketing business you have to try different ways of doing things. Some things will work for other ways will not. When you find a certain process of doing something that works keep your efforts on those areas. Do not limit yourself to one or 2 things, there are hundreds of ways to profit online so find several ways and test them. Keep in mind that this will take time and effort but if you stick with it you will see the results you are looking for. Start a site offering free content about your products and services and then start an SEO plan. You can ask 10 different SEO consultants what SEO is and you will most likely get 10 different responses. My definition is: long term traffic to your site or place of business. Be very informative about what you are offering. Figure out a budget and tactic scheme and stick with it if it does not work look for and try other ways. For instance if you are getting traffic from back links continue to build your back links. Measure your results and continue your effort where it will benefit you the most. Dont walk away from your original plan but instead add to your plan and implement different tactics that will keep the traffic coming to your site daily.
3. Know the market.
You must always continue to become more knowledgeable about the market place and where your products and or services rank in the market, you must understand your competition and continually strive to out do them. Inform yourself about the area of business that you are in. Read articles and websites of information and the latest news about your area of marketing so you understand what you need to do to keep yourself up to date with the latest trends and competition. Looks for e-books that offer information in your area of business. Keep informed and keep seeking knowledge, this will help you to dominate your market of choice. Pick your competition apart to understand their strategies and how they do business. Those who are in business to out sell you will do just that so be informed and learn from them.
4. Your Business results is a reflection of your own actions and efforts.
If for what ever reason or reasons you are not successful in a certain marketing area dont blame the business side of things blame yourself. Your actions and efforts alone are what will drive your business to new heights, so if it doesn't work then blaming anyone or thing other then yourself is just not justifiable. In reality there is really no one to blame. Some things that work for some people just do not work for others but keep in mind that just because it doesn't work for you does not mean that it does not work. If you want that area to work for you then take an over all look at what you were doing and how you were doing it. Look at how you applied yourself and redo things, so it works. Don't just quit and call it finished this will prove nothing and you will get no results from it:).Look at others who are successful at what you are trying to do. Pick them or their efforts apart to understand the difference between what you were doing and what they are doing. Online Profits are very very possible but you have to run your online business correctly. Find a teacher who will introduce you to new ways of doing business and apply yourself accordingly. Affiliate marketing is an awesome business but having an awesome teacher to help you find your way around will increase your profits and your business.
5. Spend your money wisely or lose it foolishly.
The internet is loaded with hundreds and hundreds of scams. Knowing what scams are out there and how to avoid them is just as important as finding that perfect business opportunity. We all know that being tricked into blowing money for nothing is always something that we all face no matter how smart we think we are. I have personally been scammed by business opportunities that just turned out to be a complete scam. I have spent thousands on one scam alone. I am older and wiser now and believe me I have learned my lessons well. One of my top goals with my business site is to inform others of the scams that have gotten me and thousands of others. In the future we will review all the latest business scams in an effort to help others by pass them and introduce them to proven methods that have worked for thousands of people for years. This does not mean that what we consider a scam does not work at all, but it may not work like they say it does. Conserve your cash and efforts and be informed. Spend money wisely on products that will give you the very best for your dollar.
There are thousands of secrets to earning profits online, and getting the traffic you desire to go to your site of business. The secret is to find a concrete business plan and sticking with it till you understand everything there is to know about what you need to do to be successful, then apply yourself accordingly and dont stop till you reach what you consider the top.

Top 12 Tips To Writing Effective Google AdWords Ads
Last Update: Thursday, August 27, 2009.
In this article I show you my top twelve tips for creating effective Google AdWords ads.
I've been testing the Google pay per click advertising system for a while, with much success. These tips will help you create ads that generate higher click through rates, and lower cost per click.
1. Target The Right Audience
Target the right audience by selecting the language and countries that you want to target. For example, I exclude all countries where English is not understood by a large percentage of the population.
2. Refine Your Keywords
Use square brackets "[...]" around your keyword/s.
For example:
[google]
[google adwords]
Your ad will only show when the search is for the exact keyword phrase you have included within the brackets.
The ad will not show for searches that include other keywords. In our example, this would be for searches such as "google search," or "google news."
3. Test Multiple Ads Simultaneously
Always test 2 (or more) ads simultaneously. This is what is known in the print industry as an A/B split test.
Find out which one produces the higher click through ratio. Then replace the weaker performing ad with a new one.
Continue this process in your never-ending quest to get the highest click through ratio possible.
4. Track The Return-On-Investment Of Each Ad
Google tracks the click through ratio of each ad. But it doesn't track the conversion ratio.
Use a special tracking link in each ad to track its conversion ratio. For example, you could attach each ad with an affiliate tracking system link. Make sure each ad produces a return-on-investment.
5. Include Targeted Keywords In Your Ad
Include the targeted keywords in the headline and the description of the ad. Google will highlight searched keywords in bold in the ad.
When people scan search results, they look for the keywords they have entered. Searched keywords highlighted in bold certainly help to catch the user's attention. For this reason, ads with searched keywords usually perform better than ones without.
6. Sell The Benefits
Spell out one or more major benefit in your ad. For example, make more money, stay younger looking, lose weight, get healthier, live happier, etc.
7. Include Attention Grabbing Words In Your Ad
Start your headline with an attention grabbing word. For example, "Free:, New:, Sale:, etc." Make sure you stay within Google's editorial guidelines.
8. Use Words That Provoke Emotion & Enthusiasm
Use power words or call-to-action phrases that provoke emotion, enthusiasm and a response.
Here are some examples of power words:
free, cheap, sale, special offer, time limited offer, tricks, you, tips, enhance, discover, fact, learn, at last, free shipping, etc.
Here are some examples of call-to-action phrases:
* Buy Today - Save 50%
* Download Free Trial Now
* Sale Ends Tomorrow
Make sure the phrase specific to your business, otherwise Google may reject the phrase.
9. Sell Your USP (Unique Selling Proposition)
What makes your product or service better, or different, from the competition? Spell them out in your ad.
For example, one of Amazon.com's first taglines was "Earth's Biggest Bookstore." That's a powerful USP!
10. Link To Relevant Landing Pages
If an ad is for a specific product or service, create a landing page for the ad. Include relevant and useful information to convert the customer. Generally, a well designed landing page will almost always convert more visitors than if you simply sent the visitor to the home page.
11. Remove Common Words
Remove common words, such as "a, an, in, on, it, of, etc." Remove every word that does not absolutely need to be in the ad. Make every word count.
12. Deter Freebie Hunters
Deter freebie hunters by including the price of the product or service at the end of the ad. This will improve your overall conversion ratio and lower your average customer acquisition cost.
This may reduce your click through ratio, but that's OK. After all, you're not trying to target every body, only potential customers. In most cases, freebie hunters will never become paying customers.
Conclusion
Remember that advertising is a never-ending series of tests. Always track your ads. Never stop testing different keywords and ads to improve your conversion ratio and lower your customer acquisition cost.
Advertising in the Google AdWords advertising system works. It may not necessarily produce as many visitors as Overture, but the click through cost is usually lower.
